Building Brand Loyalty With UGC

Sprinkling UGC into your social media campaigns not only shows consumers that you see them (and value them!!) but that their brand/product experience is a top priority. UGC stands for User Generated Content; simply put, it is any content (text, images, videos, etc.) made by social media users. The beauty of UGC is you don’t have to be an influencer or have a lot of followers, anyone can make it. Do you ever take photos of your favorite places or products and share them on socials? You are actively making UGC (woohoo)! Essentially, the more UGC that your brand shares, the more consumers will want to make content and share it with their online communities too. Here’s why:

AUTHENTICITY

Simply put, UGC is relatable. When followers see content created by their peers, it feels more authentic and mirrors their own experiences. This helps to build trust with the audience, making them feel like a part of a larger community of like-minded individuals.

ENGAGEMENT

Authenticity leads us to engagement. Because UGC is created by community members, engagement rates tend to spike exponentially. Let’s go back to the basics, what would you be most likely to engage with as a consumer? We don’t know about you, but we are much more likely to share a post that reaffirms one of our values or interests rather than a staged product shot. Encourage your audience to share your product and tag your brand for a chance to be featured on your socials!

INCLUSIVITY

Sharing different cultures and showing a willingness to learn about new ones demonstrates inclusivity and celebrates everyone.

WORD OF MOUTH

Sharing content from your audience encourages their friends, families, and communities alike to engage with your product, helping you reach entirely new demographics while reinforcing a sense of community and loyalty among your existing customer base.

GIVEAWAYS

Giveaways are another great way to encourage your community to engage and share your content with their communities!

We hope you’re feeling confident about incorporating UGC into your social campaigns! Thanks for reading 💗
